As a nonprofit organization, we celebrate the rich heritage of Bengal while welcoming everyone to participate. From Durga Puja and Mahalaya to Saraswati Puja, Noboborsho and other Bengali cultural events, Charlotte Utsob creates opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience Bengali culture in the Charlotte community.

Durga Puja in Charlotte
Durga Puja is one of the most beloved celebrations of Bengali culture, and Charlotte Utsob is bringing this vibrant tradition to the Charlotte community.
Our Charlotte Durga Puja 2026 celebration will bring together traditional puja rituals, Maa Durga, dhaak, anjali, cultural performances, Bengali food, community gatherings and family-friendly activities.
Our first Durga Puja will take place October 16–18, 2026, and everyone is invited to experience the spirit of Durga Puja in Charlotte.

Mahalaya in Charlotte
Begin the festive season with Mahalaya in Charlotte, a special Bengali tradition marking the arrival of Goddess Durga and the beginning of the Durga Puja season.
Charlotte Utsob invites the community to celebrate Mahalaya 2026 on Saturday, October 10, with Devi Agomoni, Bengali cultural performances, music, and a festive brunch.

We organize a diverse range of Bengali cultural programs throughout the year, starting with Saraswati Puja and culminating in Durga Puja, along with ongoing community events, youth empowerment initiatives, and a variety of art and cultural programs for both youth and adults. We are also dedicated to green initiatives and broader community outreach, fostering sustainability and service within the Carolinas.
